Problem Statement
We were challenged with designing a mental health app that incorporated a gamified approach. The app assigned random tasks to users, rewarding them with points upon completion. As users accumulated points, they progressed through levels and earned badges, providing a sense of achievement and motivation to engage in positive mental health practices.
Solution
We designed activities focused on promoting mental wellbeing. These tasks could include mindfulness exercises, journaling prompts, self-reflection activities, or other evidence-based techniques. The tasks were assigned to users based on their individual preferences, goals, and the level of challenge they desired. Users were incentivised to participate actively, complete tasks, and continuously improve their mental wellbeing.
Additionally
I had an excellent opportunity to gain insights into working with a large team and recognizing the specifics of project activities and meetings during my participation in multiple modules and my collaboration with the team to successfully bring them to a conclusion.
I gained lots from this experience, which was incredibly enriching. My skill set and expertise continued to grow as I looked into topics like documenting, ui design, visual elements, prototypes, color schemes, grids, and much more.
